5 Ways to Maintain Your Energy Daily
When we are children, we are taught to brush our teeth every day, wash our faces, wash our hands, and bathe or shower regularly; our body’s hygiene becomes a standard daily practice because we are out in the world interacting with others, eating, touching things, and working up a sweat. We know that to reset, we must wash away what we’ve picked up from the world around us daily.
The dirt, dust, and foreign DNA we pick up aren’t inherently bad; it’s just not something we need to bring home and keep with us. We all know what happens if we don’t properly wash our bodies - we end up with a build-up of dead skin cells, infections, and bacterial imbalances. Cleansing ourselves helps us stay balanced and healthy.
But what about our energy bodies? As many of us become aware of our chakras, Human Design aura type, and subtle energy, we begin to notice how the world affects us. We realize that our energy body greatly impacts how we feel, think, and perform. When we maintain our energy and return to our natural state daily, we can live our lives as our true selves —balanced, healthy, and ready to share our unique frequency with the world.

So, here are 5 ways you can maintain your energy daily:
Balancing your chakras
The word “chakra” means disk or wheel in Sanskrit. Our chakras are vortices of spinning light/energy that correspond to nerve bundles and organs. We have seven main chakras: the Base/Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Brow, and Crown. However, we also have many more minor chakras throughout the body. When our chakras are balanced, they spin freely— not too slow or too fast— with energy flowing through each wheel.
When you have a blocked or low energy chakra, you may have a hard time expressing the energy of the chakra— for example, if you have a blocked Throat chakra, you may have a hard time communicating. Blocked chakras require stimulation and clearing to rebalance.
If you have an overactive chakra, it is working overtime to clear out a deeply entrenched pattern. For instance, if you have struggled your whole life to feel financially stable and safe, you may develop an overactive Root chakra.
Balancing your chakras is like taking your car for a tune-up so that every engine element works optimally and in sync; when your chakras are balanced, you re-center yourself as a safe, secure, creative, expressive, powerful, aware, and inspired person.

2. Channeling a specific frequency
When we want to target a particular issue or area of our life, we can borrow energy from the Earth in the form of an element, mineral, animal, plant…you name it! When we connect with other natural energy, we receive the benefits and properties of that energy to help us expand, heal, and activate new parts of ourselves.

3. Clearing and cleansing cords and connections
Connecting with other humans is beautiful! When we have a deep, meaningful, or impactful connection with someone, energy cords form between the other person and us. However, not all connections with others in our energy bodies are beneficial. Sometimes bonds are formed through lower frequencies, like co-dependency and anger, and sometimes a relationship runs its course and it is time to dissolve and clear the bond from energy body to energy body.
By clearing and cleansing the cords we have created with others, we can elevate our relationships or let go of connections that are no longer feeding us.

5. Absorbing light
Earth is a planet of polarity, and our lives are made up of light and dark. We all have parts of ourselves that we can’t see clearly, and typically these shadows are caused by the potential for bright light. What lies in the darkness is not scary or bad, but it can be helpful to see what lies in our shadows so we can stop them from blocking us from sharing our unique gifts. Working with light can help us expand our awareness and see new parts of ourselves and the world around us.
